Ending Child Slavery

Changing a deeply entrenched cultural practice is a difficult mission which requires a thorough and holistic approach. In order to end child slavery in Haiti in our lifetimes, four guiding strategies direct all of our work.

Build a community of people who care and advocate for children living in restavek - provide an education, friendship, and hope for the future.Inspire a global movement of people who speak out about the restavek system of child slavery in Haiti and speak up for the victims of that system.Encourage host families and communities to change the treatment of and attitudes toward non-biological children.Empower biological families to give the best future to their children without sending them into restavek (to live with another).
