Changing a deeply entrenched cultural practice is a difficult mission which requires a thorough and holistic approach. In order to end child slavery in Haiti in our lifetimes, four guiding strategies direct all of our work.

| Build a community of people who care and advocate for children living in restavek - provide an education, friendship, and hope for the future. | Inspire a global movement of people who speak out about the restavek system of child slavery in Haiti and speak up for the victims of that system. | Encourage host families and communities to change the treatment of and attitudes toward non-biological children. | Empower biological families to give the best future to their children without sending them into restavek (to live with another). |
