January 12th and the year after

January 12th was a tragic day for Haiti and for all of us who lost family and friends in the earthquake. We want to honor the memories of the family and friends we lost and celebrate the people who are living and working for change in Haiti still today. Click on the images below for some of our memorable moments in 2010.

Roslyn celebrates to find some of our children after the earthquake.Nadine helps children process their experience and remember the friends they have lost.Oscar carries food in backpacks to give to areas that have not received aid.

Jean Marie helps to rebuild schools that collapsed during the earthquake.We help build temporary classrooms so 3000 kids can go back to school.Francoise delivers food to a school that serves a nearby tent city.

Jean Yves travels five hours to Port au Prince every Friday to give free medical care.Shinaida encourages patients to bring ALL children in for healthcare.We have 426 children and 48 partner schools in our Child Advocacy Program.

Djougine helps to open Transitional Home to girls in need of a safe place.Oscar creates a program to encourage young people to care about children in restavek and social issues.Adults learn to read and sign their name for the first time.
